Using straw instead of hay for outdoor pet and feral houses is essential for maintaining a warm, dry, and comfortable environment for animals. Unlike hay, which can absorb moisture and mold easily, straw acts as a natural insulator, keeping animals dry and protected from the cold and wet conditions, especially during winter. Straw also doesn’t break down as quickly, providing long-lasting bedding that reduces the risk of discomfort or illness in pets and feral animals.
